My friend introduced me to skin dry brushing a few weeks ago. I couldn't believe this simple and affordable at- home spa routine came with so many benefits. Your skin is a complex system made up of nerves, glands, and cell layers that serves as a shield from external temperatures and toxins. Your skin also acts as a detoxification agent but if it is loaded with toxins it will not be able to eliminate wastes from your body. This is where dry skin brushing does an AMAZING job on your body! 1. Stimulate Your Lymphatic System When your lymphatic system is not working properly, waste and toxins can build up and make you sick. 2.Exfoliation Dry skin brushing removes dead dry skin and allows your skin to breathe. 3.Reduces Cellulite Dry skin brushing may help to soften hard fat deposits below the skin which may help to diminish the appearance of cellulite. 5.Stress Relief The act of dry brushing has been described as meditative and may reduce muscle tension. 6.Improves Kidney Function Dry skin brushing may go even deeper, helping to support your digestion and organ function. How to: Look for a high quality brush with bristles made from natural materials. They should feel stiff but not too stiff. A brush with a long handle so you can reach your back is ideal. Brush on dry skin in morning before your shower. Use long steady strokes always toward your heart. Think "brushing the mane of a horse." This brush has worked really well for me as it is made of 100% natural bristles, has a soft wood handle and it includes a long handle brush for hard to reach areas such as your back. They also give you a free travel bag.
